Graduate Program Overview
Howdy!
Welcome to the graduate program in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University. The department provides excellent learning and research opportunities for graduate students. It is organized into four academic divisions --- materials, mechanics and design, systems and controls, and thermal and fluid sciences. Our graduate program is a team of 58 outstanding tenured or tenure-track faculty, other faculty and staff, and 452 graduate students. We invite you to be a part of our team as we scale the next peak of excellence. As a member of our team, you will share, learn, and contribute to our experience. Our former graduate students are well placed in industry, research laboratories, and academia around the world. In 2008, our graduate program is ranked 12th among mechanical engineering graduate programs at public institutions in the U.S. (according to U.S. News & World Report).
